i am dying to be free

all i want to do is dance, be naked, roll in the grass, hold hands and eye contact, scream at the top of my lungs, sing mediocre, sing off key, pretend to be someone else, have no connection to “the real world”, throw my cell phone in the ocean, throw myself in the ocean, get on a plane to wherever, get stuck, get lost, have absolutely no money, have absolutely no obligation, believe in a god, believe in myself, believe in nothing,

wade out until my thighs are steeped in burning flowers,

take the sun in my mouth and leap into the ripe air,

alive with closed eyes.
